In the Monzen-nakacho area, Sokai Chiropractic provides an effective answer to your back problems.

After working for 24 years in a leading educational company, Mr. Matsumoto wanted to do work that people could really appreciate. While he was still a company employee, he entered the night section of the Okawa Chiropractic College. To date, he has been working for 14 years as a chiropractor with his own practice. Mr. Matsumoto also has a third degree in Reiki and a diploma in immune medicine.

About chiropractic

Chiropractic is a complementary medicine, which uses spinal manipulations and mobilizations to treat patients with back and neck pain. The word “chiropractic” means “to be done by hand”. It provides diagnosis, treatment, and preventive care for disorders related to the spine, pelvis, nervous system and joints. Chiropractic believes that such disorders can affect general health via the nervous system.

“The most frequent cause of visit is intervertebral disc degeneration,” said Mr. Matsumoto. Disc degeneration is an abnormality occurring inside the intervertebral disc. It’s very painful and if not treated, can lead to paralysis! Specific symptoms range from sciatic nerve pain, headaches, neck pain, back pain, arm pain and numbness.

The Sokai Chiropractic practice is very spacious.

The practice also offers a childcare service. A qualified nursery teacher will take care of your child during the session. There is a fee for the first time, but from the second time onward it’s free! It’s very convenient for parents.

But what happens during a chiropractic session?

First, the interview!

The session begins with a questionnaire containing a variety of questions about your health condition. The aim is to determine the cause of the symptoms.

Preliminary physical examination

Then Mr. Matsumoto conducts a preliminary physical examination in order to determine the area to be treated.

He will test your mobility and posture.

My legs are too long!!!

Evaluation and explanation

From the information obtained from the questionnaire and the preliminary physical examination, Mr. Matsumoto will determine the causes of your back problems and explain the type of therapy you should receive.

“One of the root causes of back pain is the use of computers. People fall into poor postures habitually throughout the day. It’s very bad for the cervical vertebra and a constricted or blocked cervical vertebra often causes lower-back pain,” explained Mr. Matsumoto to me.

Session

Mr. Matsumoto uses a variety of manipulations and mobilizations for correcting the skeleton from the pelvis to the neck.

Don’t be afraid, it’s not painful!

After session discussion

After the session, you will have a small discussion regarding how do you feel. Mr. Matsumoto will give you some advice and determine the follow-up to the treatment.

“I feel a great sense of accomplishment when patients say “Thank you” after the session. I like to see people smiling again. It’s very rewarding,” said Mr. Matsumoto.

What is the best health advice of Mr. Matsumoto? “Have good posture as much as possible. Bad posture leads inevitably to back pain and severe health problems!”
