“HAIRCUT Sanpatsudo” is a barbershop that welcomes international customers.

I never really know what to ask for when I get a haircut, but the barber immediately offered thoughtful suggestions that suited my face and style. It felt both easy and reassuring.
Unlike typical hair salons, Sanpatsudo offers a different kind of service. There’s no appointment system, and the only service provided is haircuts, so no blow-drying, shampooing, or coloring.
This simplicity is part of the charm. It’s all about efficiency and convenience, without compromising on the quality of the cut. Ideal for individuals like me who want a clean, fresh look without spending a lot of time in the chair.
Haircuts at Sanpatsudo feel similar to those at a salon, as you can show a photo to share your desired style, or they will offer suggestions that suit your hair type.
The owner told me that many foreign customers come regularly, so he’s used to working with different hair textures, including Western hair like mine.
After the haircut, a hair vacuum cleaner is used to remove the cut hair thoroughly.
It’s a simple but effective touch that makes a big difference, especially for those like me, who stop by during a work break and need to get back to the office feeling fresh and clean.
They also carefully remove the hair around your neck.
I could feel Mr. Okado’s (the manager) experience in the precision of his movements.
Every gesture was confident and efficient, which made the whole experience feel reassuring.
A waiting area is also available.
It’s stocked with a wide selection of manga and magazines, and the seats are quite comfortable. I also appreciated being able to see the waiting area from outside the shop, it’s a small detail, but practical to check if the place is busy before stepping in.
It’s also an excellent option for those short on time or just looking to trim the ends, perfect for quick maintenance.
Additionally, the value for money is outstanding. It’s hard to find this level of service and attention to detail at such an affordable price.

I appreciate the fact that it’s not a chain. There’s something refreshing about getting a haircut in a place with real character and a personal touch. The barbers are friendly and professional, the atmosphere is relaxed, and the quality is excellent. Whether you’re in a rush or just need a quick clean-up, Sanpatsudo is a solid spot I’d gladly return to!
