The menu includes takoyaki, which can be enjoyed with sauce or one of three types of seasonings, seasonal dishes like oden, and more.

If you don’t already know, takoyaki’ is chunks of octopus inside a lightly fried ball of batter, with the inside being soft and creamy. It’s one of the most popular foods in Osaka, the west of Japan. Here, you can choose from a wide range of delicious flavors and side dishes.

Dashitaco tacoyaki, the signature item on the menu (2 pieces for 280 yen, 6 pieces for 750 yen)

The signature item is plain takoyaki dipped into ‘dashi,’ a savory and sweet broth usually made from bonito fish. It tastes lighter, and the broth is delicious and comforting. You can even drink it at the end!

Sauce flavored takoyaki

The original style of takoyaki has the richest flavor. It has a rich sauce, a drizzle of mayo, some bonito flakes, and a bit of spring onion on top.

New Menu Item: Grilled Sweets (Choose from Red Bean Paste or Custard)

This is an original concept and recipe. Red bean paste (‘Anko’ in Japanese) is used instead of octopus and eaten with whipped cream. The batter is the same as the original, giving you a bigger contrast of sweet and savory. It’s unusual but very tasty!

Takoyaki with a choice of seasoning (6 pieces for 650 yen). *Only one type of seasoning can be selected.

Here, you have plain takoyaki topped with fine strips of seaweed (‘nori’ in Japanese) and spring onion, onto which you can sprinkle the seasoning. You can choose from salt, curry powder with salt, or matcha with salt, all of which are satisfying and yummy.

Octopus tempura

This side dish is also highly recommended for seafood and octopus lovers. The crunchy batter on the outside complements the firm chewiness of the octopus on the inside.

Take-out is also possible.

Many people like to get takeout on their way home from work, especially since it is so close to the station and on the corner of a big intersection. The decorations are cute, and the window is very welcoming.

You can order takoyaki in sets of 2 pieces or the value set with 18 pieces, which includes all three main flavors.

If you want to increase or decrease the amount, you can do so in even numbers (2, 4, 6, 8, etc.). This isn’t your average takoyaki shop; it feels special, and the quality is great. Even after trying so many dishes, you won’t feel heavy from the oil.

The owner is very kind and enjoys being creative with the menu. His love for takoyaki can be felt here. Come and enjoy the atmosphere inside; the octopus plush toys and the wall-size art are very cute and playful.
