An enzyme bath that gently warms you from the core, both physically and mentally.

Your first visit includes a thorough consultation.
This enzyme bath is a women-only space with a calm and private atmosphere. A short consultation is done at the beginning to understand your main concern. Many people report feeling better when dealing with issues such as dermatitis, low mood, constipation, insomnia, or sensitivity to the cold. Children can also use it, and pregnant women may do so only between the 5th and 8th months of pregnancy. It is not recommended during early or late pregnancy, or if you have a fever or feel unwell.

At Enzyme Spa Panacea Minamisuna, the enzyme bath uses a blend of rice bran and hinoki (Japanese cypress) sawdust. It is known for its fluffy, comfortable feel and deep warmth.
It is a sweat-inducing therapy believed to help the body release toxins through the skin, leaving it exceptionally soft and supporting the immune system. Some clients enjoy the experience so much that they return every week as part of their regular self-care routine.

You can also enjoy a rice bran face pack during your bath.
One of the most popular courses includes an enzyme bath, with the option to add a rice bran pack. The pack is gently applied to the skin and is made with naturally derived ingredients commonly used in facial care.

There are three main types of enzyme baths: one made with rice bran only, one made with wood shavings only (such as hinoki cypress), and one that blends both.

The owner’s journey began with her own skin struggles. As a child, she was prone to hives and atopic skin, and later, while working long hours as a women’s fashion designer, stress often showed up through skin problems. When topical creams stopped working, she began searching for a different approach. She then discovered enzyme baths, which made a real difference for her. For many years, she has been dedicated to sharing this experience and supporting others with a wide range of concerns.

One of the defining features of an enzyme bath is the warmth generated by fermentation. Immediately after fermentation, the temperature can rise to nearly 70°C, so even a 15-minute bath can cause significant sweating.
No electricity or gas is needed for the enzyme bath, but the smell can be a bit strong at first. However, most people get used to it within a few minutes. It is often said that sweating during the 15-minute bath is equivalent to running a two-hour marathon!

The full reservation lasts 75 minutes and includes an initial consultation, time to hydrate with tea, preparation, the enzyme bath itself, a shower, and a quiet rest afterward with herbal tea. Enzyme baths have recently been gaining popularity in Tokyo, but there are still very few places where you can experience them in Koto Ward.

She hopes to introduce more people to enzyme baths so that they can enjoy their potential benefits. Especially during winter months, when the cold can take a toll on both skin and body, it is an ideal time to give it a try.
For those who get chilled easily at a desk job, feel tired after long hours on your feet, or are busy with work and childcare, please come by and relax.
Please note: if you have animal allergies, there is a cat in the house.
