“Surasura Soroban” in Kiba welcomes students from as young as 3 years old until high school, offering personalized guidance for each student. Adults are welcome too.
It is conveniently located with great access by train and bus, adding to its appeal.
The school is located very close to Kiba station, which makes it easy to access by train and bus from nearby locations. Students from surrounding neighborhoods come here between 4 and 16 times a month, depending on their chosen course.
One of its key features is the use of tablets for learning. Although the introduction of
tablets in soroban classes is rare nationwide. They provide an environment where
students can learn independently, even in group lessons.
Online participation is also possible, allowing students living overseas to attend classes at the school in Kiba. A few students living overseas are already taking part in online classes!
“Yomiagezan,” which begins with the call “negaimashite wa,” features unique soroban
terminology that feels fresh and intriguing.
A teacher reads out the figures while the students practice using their abacuses and checking their answers. During this time, students are very attentive and focused.

The classroom has original trading cards designed by students on display. Students can
earn these cards by advancing their level in soroban or participating in events and
exchanging them for prizes.
Mrs. Ou likes spending time with children while teaching soroban and doing fun and creative things with them in her free time.
