A retro building used in dramas and movies
“Sunamachi Ginza Shopping Street” is the largest shopping street in Koto ward that has the remnants of the Showa era atmosphere. Get ready to go back in time!
The owner wishes for this building to become a cultural facility so the local people can enjoy this Showa architectural building. As a foreigner, this corridor evokes a sense of immersion in Japan of the 1960s-1970s.
The interior coordination of the store was done by the owner’s wife, Miho san who is thriving as a stylist working on magazines and advertisements of the wedding industry. The visuality of the room worked on by the professional is photogenic from every aspect, from the room interior to sweets! However, the atmosphere was warm and I felt somewhat at home.

They added cinnamon to the ice cream, and I found it to be a great idea! The combination of cinnamon and coffee works perfectly well.
Cream soda using blue curacao syrup (non-alcohol) . (780 yen)
It was the first time I tasted this kind of blend, and I must admit I was pleasantly surprised. I was afraid it would be too sweet, but not at all. I highly recommend it.
This is an attached private room. It can be used for approximately 8 people at a rate of 3,000 yen/hour. Customers can order foods and drinks and have a nice tea time, but they can also bring foods and drinks of their own! Customers can have parties using catering and delivery services. A lot of people also enjoy taking self-photos like a photo studio. From what I’ve seen in terms of rental venues in Tokyo, it is by far the most welcoming.
The owners are planning to have workshops and events in the near future. If you have the chance to visit Sunamachi shopping street, take a look at “Cafe Suna no Ginga”! As for me, I found the experience very relaxing and I hope to go again soon!
