At “bistro momo,” you can enjoy authentic French course meals in a relaxed, casual atmosphere.

An amuse-bouche made with cauliflower
The cauliflower is cooked just right—firm on the outside and slightly soft inside. It’s served in a light broth with olive oil, a touch of seafood flavor, and a surprisingly deep taste. The chef uses a special method, taking the cauliflower in and out of the oven every three minutes. This gives it the perfect texture and makes it beautiful to look at, too.
The restaurant is bright and spacious, decorated with paintings that create a French-inspired atmosphere, including cabaret-style art. The restaurant’s name comes from Michael Ende’s novel Momo, a story widely known across Europe about “helping people reclaim the time that truly matters.” The chef chose this name to express his hope that guests can be at ease, feel the value of time, and enjoy dishes prepared with sincere care.

A dish prepared with clam broth and a smooth scallion purée.
With each dish, the chef offers a brief explanation of its ingredients, a small ritual that becomes an essential part of the overall experience.
The kitchen is wide and spotless, and the chef talks with guests while cooking each ingredient one by one. He then puts everything together on a large plate like a puzzle. Watching the dish take shape as you eat becomes part of the fun.

Tender and juicy meat
The steak is seared on the outside and left beautifully rare inside, which makes both the meat and the accompanying vegetables incredibly tender with an almost velvety texture. The sauce adds the perfect finishing touch, elevating the dish even further.

They also offer a selection of European wines, including Burgundies, which are a favorite of the owner, Mr. Sakai.

At bistro momo, you can enjoy a daily course menu for both lunch and dinner. The courses usually include eight dishes, made with ingredients that change with the seasons.
The restaurant also features a charming outdoor terrace, very peaceful thanks to its height on the seventh floor and the quiet surroundings. It seems there were tables inspired by the classic terraces of Paris before, but it has now become a calm waiting area before lunch or dinner, where you can enjoy a drink, watch the sunset, and even bring your dog to rest at your feet.
If you’re looking to enjoy a French-style meal on a special day, this is the perfect place.
