“Saino Dining Monzen-Nakacho Branch” offers authentic Indian and Thai cuisine at reasonable prices.

The name “Saino” means “bond” in Nepali, the owner’s native language.

One of the highlights of Saino Dining is its wide variety of menu options.

The chef, a passionate food enthusiast, wanted to share his love for both culinary worlds. It’s the perfect setup for those who like variety, so you can come back often and enjoy something different each time, from rich Indian curries to spicy Thai dishes.

Stir-Fried Mixed Seafood

This dish is a colorful medley of shrimp, squid, and mussels, all perfectly sautéed with vegetables in a savory, slightly spicy Thai-style sauce. The seafood is tender and juicy,

and the sauce clings to each bite, offering a satisfying balance of heat and umami. It’s a vibrant, flavorful plate that pairs well with rice and a cold drink.

Khao Man Gai (Thai-style Chicken Rice)

The chicken was incredibly tender, the rice was rich with garlicky goodness, and the dipping sauce added just the right punch. It’s light but flavorful—something I’d definitely come back for after a long day.

Biryani (Spiced Rice with Meat or Vegetables)

The biriyani was fragrant, perfectly spiced, and generously topped with tender meat. The long-grain basmati rice was fluffy and aromatic, each grain separate and infused with layers of spices. Each bite felt like a little trip to Asia.

“Kadai Chicken” from the “Special Saino Curry” menu

This dish was filled with chunks of juicy chicken, bell peppers, and onions in a thick, aromatic tomato-based gravy. The spices were bold without overpowering the dish, and I loved scooping it up with warm naan—comforting, flavorful, and deeply satisfying.

Gai Yang (Thai Grilled Chicken)

The Gai Yang was a highlight—beautifully grilled Thai-style chicken with crispy skin and juicy meat, marinated in a blend of herbs and spices that gave it a slightly sweet, smoky flavor. Dipping each bite in the tangy, spicy sauce on the side added just the right kick without overwhelming the dish.

They also offer a wide selection of alcoholic drinks, including Indian beer like “BIRA.”

I was pleasantly surprised to find Indian craft beers on the menu—something you don’t see often.

Sweet Red Bean & Cheese Naan

There were all kinds of naan to choose from, but I couldn’t resist trying the Sweet Red

Bean & Cheese Naan. The creamy cheese and subtly sweet red bean paste made for a comforting, dessert-like twist—a fun way to end the meal!

Gulab Jamun (Indian Sweet Milk Balls in Syrup)

These soft, syrup-soaked milk balls provide a warm, rich, and melt-in-your-mouth experience. A little bite goes a long way, and it’s the perfect sweet note to end this flavorful journey.

The student set (available for high school students and younger) is 840 yen for lunch and 1,140 yen for dinner, and includes all-you-can-eat naan or rice.

There’s also a great selection of drinks like Indian wine, craft beer, and lassi beer,

making it a perfect spot for group gatherings as well.

I would definitely recommend visiting here to enjoy their authentic Asian cuisine!
