“Patisserie Akke” is a cake shop that uses ingredients from Hokkaido, the owner’s hometown.
A wide variety of cakes are lined up, filling you with excitement.
The patisserie sells whole cakes as well as individual slices, perfect for any craving or occasion. With a wide variety of colors and flavors, each cake is beautifully decorated with intricate details that make them almost too pretty to eat. With so many tempting options, it’s hard to choose just one!
At “Patisserie Akke,” they offer seasonal treats, and right now, many of their cakes feature fresh strawberries. In the coming season, they plan to introduce mango-based creations.
You can stop by throughout the year to see what new cakes are on offer. From nutty options like pistachio to a wide range of other ingredients, there’s always something tempting. Each visit is a chance to discover a new flavor while enjoying a delicious slice of cake.
The shop, created by an owner who grew up surrounded by Hokkaido’s rich natural beauty, features a warm, wooden interior that creates a calm and relaxing atmosphere.
There are three cozy tables inside, perfect for enjoying a coffee and having a relaxed chat. A big front window fills the space with daylight and gives a nice view of the street.
The most popular item: “Strawberry Shortcake”
The Japanese customers’ favorite. It’s soft and moist, and the whipped cream is light without being too sweet. The strawberries add a fresh, slightly tangy touch that complements everything else. It’s so easy to eat, I could have gone for another slice!
The owner’s recommendation: “Rare Cheesecake”
I also tried the rare cheesecake, and honestly, it didn’t disappoint. It had a smooth, creamy texture with a light, slightly sharp flavor that kept it from feeling too rich. The crust was firm and flavorful, perfectly balancing the filling.
Enjoy a peaceful moment with a rich, aromatic coffee and a delicious cake in the warm, relaxing atmosphere of the shop.
The cafe is quite ambient, making it the perfect place to take a break in the middle of the afternoon. The street outside is peaceful and with little car traffic, so you can truly relax and enjoy the calm surroundings without the distraction of noise or crowds.
One reason for Patisserie Akke’s popularity is that they offer cake delivery and nationwide shipping of their baked goods.
They also make madeleines in a variety of flavors, each one nicely wrapped on its own, and their animal-shaped cookies are super cute and creative, great for having with coffee or as a thoughtful gift to someone.
A wide variety of loaves of bread are also neatly lined up.
They offer a nice variety of sandwich breads made with different types of flour, making them great for anyone who enjoys trying different textures. For example, there’s semolina bread, semolina with cheese, and bread made with Graham flour. Their baguette is also popular, which was already sold out when I visited!
On sunny days, the outdoor area looks like a lovely place to relax as well.
Some customers bring their dogs along.
Patisserie Akke also accepts custom orders for whole cakes. You can request specific fruits and designs, and they even create large wedding cakes or gender reveal cakes to announce the baby’s gender.
No matter what kind of cake you like or the occasion, Patisserie Akke is a great place to enjoy cakes made with rich and creamy ingredients from Hokkaido. Whether you’re looking for a simple slice or a whole cake for a special event, stop by and let the quality of Hokkaido sweets brighten your day.
